ARTS AWARD DISCOVER

Art is proven to help children to become inspired, express their feelings, solve problems and be proud of their achievements.

Arts Award is supported by Arts Council England and is a nationally recognised award. At Shirland we currently deliver both Discover and Explore Awards with the Explore award once completed having UKAS point value.

The award aims to help children develop skills in key areas such as creativity, communication, determination and also boost self confidence through exploring the arts as part of a small group.

It is always wonderful to invite parents into school to share what the children have learnt during Arts Award. We would like to share some of the positive feedback from parents;
