Our current equality objectives are:

Objective 1

To raise equality awareness with students and staff, ensuring tolerance and respect towards individuals who identify with any of the protected characteristics. All stakeholders being regularly exposed to and understanding what is meant by a protected characteristic.

Review (May 2026): All schools within the Trust have had an increased focus on sharing and developing an understanding of the Protected characteristics as a key part of the wider curriculum of the schools. This has included: the PSHE curriculum enables pupils to confidently discuss Protected Characteristics as part of the oracy project. Along with a clear focus on Protected Characteristics as part of the assembly programme.

Objective 2

To work to actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between students and all groups of students; especially students eligible for free-school meals, students with special educational needs and disabilities and looked after children

Review (May 2026): All schools within the Trust are focused on increasing attainment and achievement for all, with a particular focus on students eligible for free-school meals, students with special educational needs and disabilities and looked after children. Full analysis of the IDSR for each school has been undertaken at school/ academy and Trust level, with the outcomes being used as part of ongoing school/ academy improvement work. The IDSRs highlight that good progress is being made around the progress of disadvantaged children with additional work required to ensure that any gaps are closing over time.
